Abstract:
MEV is a hot topic in the blockchain space. It is superficially considered a problem unique to blockchains. An alternative view says that blockchains were created to address the MEV that has existed in society long before the existence of blockchain. This talk will outline such a perspective and survey several approaches of addressing MEV.
