The CBER-CDFT-DSF Summer School will be hosted by Columbia University's Center for Digital Finance and Technologies during June 20 - 21, 2024. The summer school is hosted in collaboration with Boston University’s Digital Business Institute at the Questrom School of Business, École Polytechnique, FinTech at Cornell - an Initiative of the SC Johnson College of Business, the FinTech Research Center at the University of Florida, the NYU Stern School of Business, and the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management's FinHub.The Crypto and Blockchain Economics Research (CBER) Forum, Columbia University's Center for Digital Finance and Technologies (CDFT), and the DLT Science Foundation invite applicants for the inaugural Blockchain Economics Summer School. This summer school is targeted towards junior scholars including untenured faculty, post-doctoral researchers and especially PhD students. We aim to provide the tools necessary for such researchers to actively contribute to the blockchain economics literature. The summer school will be held on June 20th and 21st at Columbia University in New York City. Attendees will receive instruction from leading researchers in the area and also be invited to social events to network with the speakers.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. All applicants are encouraged to submit as early as possible. For full consideration, please submit by April 1st, 2024. Some funding will be available for admitted applicants not holding faculty positions.

Speakers include: Agostino Capponi (Columbia University), Lin William Cong (Cornell University), Ciamac Moallemi (Columbia University), Andreas Park (University of Toronto), Julien Prat (Ecole Polytechnique), Fahad Saleh (University of Florida), Quentin Vandeweyer (University of Chicago), David Yermack (NYU Stern).
